About Arrman

Arrman Kyaw is a Charlottesville-based journalist, copy editor, and writer known for being persistent in his questioning, careful in his reporting, and meticulous in his editing.

​

His expertise in the industry span a number of different topics and settings, from visiting harmed LGBTQ+ communities in Myanmar's conservative police state to asking higher education scholars about the lasting effects of Brown v. Board of Education on the greater racial landscape of U.S. schools today.

​

He's engaged extensively with multiple levels of the journalistic process. During his time at the University of Richmond, he reported, edited, and helped lead the bustling independent student newspaper. During his time at Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, he reported thoroughly on all matters education and higher ed and helped distribute the publication's newsletters to its readers.
